First of all, I had a 99 cent book blitz for Gerald and the Wee People and some wonderful people from MasterKoda.com helped with my blog hop. Brenda, Dianne, DeEtte, Jane, Lisa, Kim, Tammy, Jennifer, Vickie, Robert, Lori, Lynda and Kimberly, thank you all so much.
Wee People is still 99 cents, if anyone is interested, and there is a book review/excerpt/interview and rafflecopter still going on at Books Direct.
Along with the book blitz, we had a two-week Facebook event called, "Inspiring Children...One Book at a Time." We had some very interesting conversations about books, kids, teens, bullying, parents and other caregivers, and brainstormed on ways to get books in the hands of the younger generation. We also had a daily 'Author Feature', introducing new books by children's/MG/YA authors. The event was in conjunction with new posts on the Inspiring Children blog and was a grand success! Thanks to everyone who attended.
We have started a Facebook group to continue our efforts in encouraging parents, grandparents, teachers and all caregivers of children and teens to have books available in order to turn young minds into great minds. We believe the greatest gift you can give a child/teenager is the gift of reading. Books open doors and transport the reader to exciting places, new worlds, and entices a thirst for knowledge. You are more than welcome to come join in this endeavor.
Also I found out that House on Bo-Kay Lane, the second book in the Wee People series is a semi-finalist in the kindlebookreview.com book awards. What a surprise! I got two wonderful reviews for Bo-Kay Lane as well. One from Mary Brown Daugherty and the second from Nicole Storey.
Speaking of Nicole Storey, the first book in her Celadon Circle series, Blind Sight, will be released on July 18th! In celebration, she plans to host a book launch that will take place on her Facebook author page and blog. There will be prizes and giveaways, excerpts, fun pictures, contests, and more!
Be sure and attend - 12:00 p.m. Est. time on July 18th.
Gee whiz, that's enough for now...just wanted to share all my good news and to thank everyone who has made it all possible. See ya at Nickie's book launch on the 18th.
