Hey there, I'd love to enter this blog hop. :) I write an Upper MG lower YA series called the Super Spies. Is there any way I can get in on it? Thanks for your consideration!

Hi Greta
Such a great blog!
I too would like to put my name down if possible as I hope my stories will encourage those with dyslexia (like me) and other learning difficulties to never let it get in your way.
Look forward to hearing from you. Ax

Are any of the featured books in the science fiction/fantasy genre and do they have protagonists of Color? My focus is on science fiction and fantasy for teens and young adults of Color. Now, there's room for ALL good books because it's all about inclusion, not exclusion. But again, my focus is on diversity. Thanks so much!

Ruth, there will be a number of books in the science fiction/fantasy genres. I don't know if any specifically gives any ethnic references to the characters. In my books, I do not give any racial qualities to the characters. I just let the readers use their imagination and picture the characters as they wish, whether it be brown, black, yellow, red, white, etc. I believe most authors do the same thing.
You may be interested in books by Ey Wade. They are not in the SF/Fantasy genres but they may be what you are looking for. Hope this helps you.

Really depends on what you mean by people of color, and why. The protagonist in my book (which is fantasy) is partly Hawaiian, and a very dark-skinned girl, but I don't put any emphasis on it, because frankly, her skin color is irrelevant. Her cultural ties to Hawaii on the other hand, are not, and in the sequel I will explore that even more. I write science fiction and fantasy to explore new worlds, and point out that there is only one race, Homo sapiens sapiens, otherwise known as Humans.

Ruth, I'm one of the featured writers and my protagonist in Psyched is a biracial psychic teen girl whose African father figures prominently in the book. African themes and mythology are a huge part of the sequel I'm working on right now!
